JOB SUMMARY:

This position will be directly responsible for the safe transportation of Head Start children to and from specified locations. 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Must have a valid Illinois School Bus Permit and CDL. Must participate in no less than 15 professional development hours per year – to be documented in Gateway Excelerate profile.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Radio Communication Codes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safe delivery of all passengers to their prearranged destination.
  • Maintain control at all times of the vehicle and its passengers to assure safe passage, regardless of adverse conditions or the improper actions of others.
  • Maintain proper licenses, permits and training as required by state and local authorities.
  • Secure state certification on all traffic and safety laws of the DOT and DCFS.
  • Check daily the operational functions/features of his/her assigned vehicle and notify supervisor of problem areas or take corrective action.
  • Assure the safekeeping and operation of all safety equipment, i.e. flares, first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
  • Maintain all areas of confidentiality concerning matters relating to Head Start children, families and the Head Start program.
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job description.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance coverage as required by the State of Illinois.
  • 10. Effectively executes and meets performance requirements of all other duties assigned when not on the bus.
  • 11. Supervise monitors performance in preparing for and conducting bus routes, including implementing change of custody procedures.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Illinois School Bus Permit and CDL.

JOB SUMMARY:

The EHS Family Development Specialist is responsible for planning and scheduling home visits (1.5 hours/per week) encompassing child health, development services and family case management. Low income pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers are the target population. Direct supervision is provided by the Family Partnerships Coordinators. Additional support is offered by the Education/Disabilities, Family Services and Community Partnerships Coordinators. Evening activities and family socializations are scheduled.  Opportunities to recruit new families generate referrals and assist families to manage their life is a rewarding aspect of this position.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in social service or human development field;
  • Must have two (2) years Case Management experience or equivalent experience in social service or human development;
  • Ability to manage groups;
  • Ability to make sound professional judgments;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledgeable of computer software and applications;
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job description;

JOB SUMMARY:

Oversee the administrative analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts including sub-ledgers and work accounts and assists the Director of Accounting in maintaining PCCEO’s accounting system in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

BS in Accounting or Business Administration with at least 12 hours of Accounting.  Five or more years accounting experience at a Senior Accountant level.  Experience in governmental or not-for-profit institutions and their accounting systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Thorough knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles.  Three or more years of general accounting experience, including at least two years at a senior level.  Budget preparation and maintenance experience.  Computer literate with a demonstrated proficiency in the use of accounting and spreadsheet software (Excel).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain detailed monthly analysis of all general ledger accounts.
  • Review source documents for all cash transfers.
  • Review and approve all monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • Review and approve monthly reconciliation of all payroll accounts, including federal and state withholding taxes, FICA, SUTA, and other payroll deductions.
  • Review and approve completed payroll distribution summary.
  • Assist in the preparation of program and corporate budgets.
  • Approves all purchase orders.
  • Maintains weekly cash position report and reconciles to monthly bank statements.
  • Assists the Director of Accounting in preparation of quarterly, semi-annual and annual cash flow projections.
  • Prepares reports required by Program Managers and funding sources for assigned programs.
  • Prepares quarterly revenue vs. expenditures comparative analysis for assigned programs.
  • Provides assistance to the Director of Accounting in completion of the annual audit.
  • Provide strict compliance with deadlines and assignments listed on all other job descriptions.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable/Data Entry Clerk is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Accounting Department data systems, entering accounting entries into the Abila system and providing clerical assistance as need under the guidance of the Director of Accounting. 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typing minimum 50 wpm, proficient with usage of Excel, Access and Word, file maintenance and retrieval skills, data entry, computer literate, effective oral and written communication skills, minimum of 2 years experience in a data entry or bookkeeping position or an Associate’s degree with Accounting as the major area of study.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process accounts receivable invoices and statements as required by PCCEO policy.
  • Maintain all Accounting Department hard copy and scanned filing of cancelled checks, vendor payments, accounts receivable invoices, etc.
  • Enter vendor invoices, cash receipts, journal vouchers and other assigned data   into the Abila Accounting software.
  • Reconcile assigned bank accounts monthly.
  • Type and file routine correspondence and other records.
  •  Assist in the completion of the financial and compliance audit as well as any other monitoring visits.
  • Assist all members of the Accounting Department in clerical detail work as needed.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of a unity of effort in the PCCEO Accounting Department staff by providing supportive services.
  • To provide supportive services to the Director of Accounting, Accounting Clerks, and President/CEO.
  • To provide strict compliance with deadlines and assignments.
  • To maintain confidentiality of information received by the Accounting         Department, recorded in PCCEO meetings and/or contemplated by the        Administrative staff.
